Some interesting bits around the Web. Enjoy!

  • openSUSE Edu Li-f-e : creating open minds: "openSUSE Education community is proud to announce openSUSE-Edu Li-f-e: Linux for Education based on openSUSE 11.2 . Li-f-e flavor bundles the best of softwares openSUSE has to offer, such as most popular Desktop Environments, educational application, development suites, multimedia, great user experience out of the box, and a lot more that is expected in a modern Operating System."
  • Unicorns and Projections: "Reality is a terrible collaborator. No matter how much you try to work with it, it has a mind of its own. And it never listens to you."
  • The Loft Workstation: Oh, so very cool. One of the few reasons I keep thinking about home ownership -- so I can really trick out my office...
  • Samsung Sponsors Enlightenment Development: Enlightenment is sort of the Duke Nukem of open source -- except, of course, there's actually code out there. But for the love of God, could you just release something 'official' for E17 already!?? If I recall correctly, E17 was previously sponsored by Sony/TerraSoft for YDL and was out in some form on YDL for the PlayStation 3 -- years ago.I'm sure when it finally does come out it will be awesome. But by then we'll all be using thought-controlled computers the size of postage stamps that don't require a window manager/desktop environment.
