OK, I would flag the mascot, the dna-strand background graphic, and the half-rounded boxes (which I read as abstracted leaf forms) as the visually most interesting elements that ought to be on the front. The text content is a whole other can of worms that I don't want to go into. Suffice to say, "11.2", "DVD" and the url are relatively unimportant, and shouldn't have prominence. The color scheme of #1 works because you have these jewel-like bright green areas set against the foil of a darker green -- not the dead, gangrenous green-black of #3!

And please, stop throwing the word "professional" around, those of you who have no notion whatsoever of that does, and doesn't mean...

@David Smith
We can change the background color easily, what really matters to me is the layout and the content. I would love to get some feedback about these 2 aspects of the -lets say- fourth Cover (the fused version)

@reddaygr

"There is a version of 1 that kinda fused elements of all 3 designs"

Urgh, that ghastly, unrelieved dead spinach green again...

No, no. 1 is still the best.

I prefer #3. It looks elegant && professional. However, "II.2" is little confusing for me at first glance. Evoking "2.2". I would change it to "11.2".

Although the third one is professional it is too monotonous. The second one has more 11.1 flavor. The first one is in-between, the good thing is it has no desktop screenshots and represents an advancement based on open source software.
