openSUSE 11.2 is scheduled to be officially released in about a week (give or take a few hours...) and, as usual, we're gearing up to press a bunch of media for shows and the ambassadors.
Typically Novell has created the artwork for the openSUSE DVDs, but this time around we had some really interesting and creative input from openSUSE contributors.
Here are the choices -- vote in the poll box below or to the right!
#1: DVD Cover 1
#2: DVD Cover 2
#3: DVD Cover 3
So, which one would you choose? Yes, I have a favorite. No, I'm not telling. Yes, there's a ringer in the house...

Other details on the openSUSE DVDs:
- You asked for 64-bit, you've got it! We're creating dual-sided media for openSUSE so that we have 32-bit media on one side, 64-bit on the other. This will be especially handy for folks (like me) who have a smattering of 32-bit only hardware still laying around.
- Live CDs: In the past, we've not created live CD media, but we wanted to provide some swag for GNOME and KDE specific events -- so, we're going to be creating a limited amount of live CDs that we will provide at events.
After the 11.2 release we'll provide details on how to get media for events and so on. Sorry, we're unable to handle individual orders for openSUSE DVDs. If you don't want to mess with downloading openSUSE for your personal use and don't need a full retail kit, I'd recommend checking out On-Disk.com or CheapBytes. Information on retail boxes will be forthcoming soon.
Update: Thanks for all the comments! Polling and comments are now closed. Winner will be announced shortly.

( #3... totally black.... hmm... i've seen something similar on the "Ubuntu 9.04 server" cover)

We can change the background color easily, what really matters to me is the layout and the content. I would love to get some feedback about these 2 aspects of the -lets say- fourth Cover (the fused version)
OK, I would flag the mascot, the dna-strand background graphic, and the half-rounded boxes (which I read as abstracted leaf forms) as the visually most interesting elements that ought to be on the front. The text content is a whole other can of worms that I don't want to go into. Suffice to say, "11.2", "DVD" and the url are relatively unimportant, and shouldn't have prominence. The color scheme of #1 works because you have these jewel-like bright green areas set against the foil of a darker green -- not the dead, gangrenous green-black of #3!
And please, stop throwing the word "professional" around, those of you who have no notion whatsoever of that does, and doesn't mean...
