Here I am, working hard, trying to set up a simple script that pulls information from a db and then mails it to someone, and all the sudden my right-hand monitor just goes black. Nothing, no warning, no dimming or helpful warnings that the monitor was about to take the dirt nap — one second it was full of life (so to speak) the next, gone.
Lucky for me, I happen to have spare monitors (being a geek is a good thing) and was able to pop in a replacement for the time being. But, I started thinking... wouldn't it be nice to swap my Dell 20.1" widescreen monitor over to my main computer? But then... it'd be uneven.
I think the solution should be obvious to anyone that knows me... a little hunting turned up a couple of Dell coupons that allowed me to buy another Dell 20.1" monitor for a mere $400. I've seen slightly better deals, but not by much.
Still wondering why my other monitor died, but soon I'll be enjoying dual-widescreen goodness.
